Zero to commercial pilot: the commercial licence (CPL) with the instrument (IR) and multi-engine (ME) ratings airlines ask for.

PPL + 100 hours as pilot in command

Licence plus 100 hours as pilot in command (PIC), towards airline minimums: 250 hours with a frozen ATPL (airline-entry level) for EASA airlines, 1,500 hours for a US ATP. Extra hour building from $185 an hour*.
