How we collect, use and protect your personal data.

Last updated 29 September 2026

Who we are

BecomeAPilot.co is operated by Mike Oscar FZ LLC, Twin Towers, P.O. Box 4422, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (Fujairah Creative City free zone). We decide how your personal data is used and are responsible for it. We follow the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021.

Questions or requests: info@becomeapilot.co

What we collect

  • When you register: whether you are a student or a parent, name, the student's name (if a parent registers), email, WhatsApp number, age range, country, a parent or guardian email for under-18s, and the programme you are interested in.
  • Assessments: your pilot pathway assessment answers and English language test results.
  • Enquiries: what you tell us when you talk to an advisor or enquire as a school, including the school's name and your role.
  • As a student: your login details, class and course records, training progress and the documents needed for training and the US visa (such as passport details and medical certificate) when you enrol.
  • How you found us: the page or campaign that brought you to the site.

Why we use it

  • To send you the pathway assessment and English test, and list you for ground school classes.
  • To answer your questions and advise you on training routes.
  • To enrol you, arrange your training, visa support and accommodation, and report progress.
  • To contact you by email and WhatsApp about your pilot journey, with your consent.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We process your data with your consent, to take steps you ask for before a contract, to perform your training contract, and where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

Under-18s

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to your registration and your training. We ask for a parent or guardian email so we can involve them. Parents can register on their child's behalf.

Who we share it with

  • Training providers you choose to train with, including Global Flight Training Solutions in Florida, USA, and our EASA-approved ground school partner in the European Union.
  • Your school, if you take the ground school through a partner school: enrolment and progress only.
  • Service providers who run our student platform, email and messaging for us, under contract and only on our instructions.
  • Authorities where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

Transfers outside the UAE

Training takes place in the United States and ground school is delivered from the European Union, so some of your data is transferred outside the UAE. We only do this where the UAE law allows it, for example where it is needed to deliver the training you asked for, with your consent, or with safeguards in place.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you are an active enquirer or student. If there has been no contact for 24 months, we delete it or make it anonymous, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Training records may be kept longer where aviation regulations require it.

Your rights

  • Get a copy of your data and information about how we use it.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Have your data deleted.
  • Restrict or stop how we process it.
  • Receive your data in a format you can move to another provider.
  • Object to decisions made only by automated processing.

Email info@becomeapilot.co to use any of these rights. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we will tell you and the regulator if a breach puts your data at risk, as the law requires.

Browser storage

The registration form saves what you have typed in your own browser so you do not lose it. It is not sent anywhere until you submit. We do not use advertising cookies.

We will post any changes to this notice here, with a new date.
